Chair of Governing Body and Headteacher’s Welcome

Achieving Success Together

Welcome to Bankfoot Primary School. Our website contains a great deal of information on teaching, learning and other activities undertaken by the school. It represents the hard work of a fantastic team of professionals, governors, parents and pupils working together.  We offer many opportunities for children and adults to achieve their best.

We focus on ensuring every child learns well through hard work, self-discipline and ambition. We encourage and expect all members of the community to have the highest expectations of our children and of each other. This enables us to go from strength to strength, achieving success together across key stages and subjects.

As you can see from our most recent Ofsted report in 2016, we were judged to be an outstanding school. I am pleased to let you know that we continue to improve. We are not complacent, but continue to work hard to build on our successes.

We hope you find the information useful. We will continue to update the information during the year.

If you would like to come to see for yourself, please call the school office to make an appointment.

If you have any concerns please contact school to speak directly to Mrs Wright, Headteacher; Mrs Irfan, Deputy headteacher or Miss Cox, Assistant headteacher.

September 2018

We are now offering 30 hours free early education for Nursery children.

Are you entitled to 30 hours free early education for your 3-4 year old child?

What is the 30 hours free early education entitlement?

From September 2017 the Government introduced a new early education entitlement which allows working parents to get up to 30 hours of free early education a week during term-time.

At the moment, every 3 and 4 year old child is entitled to 15 hours free early education place during term-time. The new entitlement will allow working parents to claim a further 15 hours of early education.

A child is eligible for the new entitlement the term after their 3rd birthday.
