Welcome to our school website. Thank you for logging on to find out more about our school.
Bankfoot is a one form entry primary school situated in inner-city Bradford in West Yorkshire. We are a caring and friendly school with a positive and inclusive ethos. We welcome children and families from all cultures and backgrounds.
We are very pleased to inform you that we were judged outstanding in all areas at our most recent Ofsted inspection in April 2016. This is a fantastic outcome for the school. We will be using this achievement as a foundation for further development as we continue to improve and go from strength to strength.
We are all very proud of our pupils, their achievements and our school, and are glad that you want to know more about us. We believe in putting children and their families first and aim to provide access to the best possible learning opportunities.

At Bankfoot Primary School we believe that everyone has the right to work and learn within a secure, friendly, peaceful and stimulating environment; where everyone is encouraged to work hard and to be ambitious for themselves, their family and their community.

At Bankfoot Primary School we aim to:
  • provide a safe, caring, happy and stimulating environment for everyone
  • provide high quality teaching and learning in all areas and encourage the development of lifelong skills for learning, social skills and an enthusiasm for knowledge and understanding
  • ensure equal opportunities by identifying and making provision for individual needs, strengths and abilities
  • we welcome people from all cultures and backgrounds, and encourage respect, care and co-operation from everyone in our school community
  • recognise, reward and celebrate individual and collective achievements within the school community
  • encourage parents and carers to work in partnership with school staff and governors and provide opportunities where they can be involved in the life of the school and support their child’s education
  • encourage and support children in taking responsibility for their own actions, attitudes and behaviour
  • promote partnership with the wider community, in order to enrich the life of the school.
