Year 3

Welcome to Year 3:

The staff members are Mrs Hussain, Mrs Walsh and Mrs Ahmed.

In Year 3, we promise to...

  • always work hard and try our best
  • follow and listen to instructions the first time
  • always present our work neatly
  • always speak kindly and politely to all adults and children
  • work hard as a team and help each other

Below are some websites that you can use to support your child with their homework. We have also included some examples of homework completed by some year 3 children.

In Year 3, we aim to be outstanding in our work, behaviour and all other aspects of school life.

The children will be taking part in a range of fantastic, creative lessons this year, to ensure they are always making progress in their learning.

We have started our journey with Linking Schools this year. Our Linking School is St.Joseph's Catholic Primary School and we will be interacting with our 'Linking Partners' very soon!

We understand and appreciate the help and support you give to your child. Together, we can help Year 3 achieve their full potential in all areas of the curriculum. Together, everyone achieves more!

I am looking forward to a great year with the children.

Please find our newsletter for Autumn 1. Our topic is Settlers.

The children will be learning about the Stone Age, Bronze Age and the Iron Age.

Please read the attached newsletter to find out more information about the children's learning.

Our topic for Autumn 2 is Who lives in Antarctica?

Our topic for Spring 1 is The Romans.

This half term, we have been learning about why people choose to live near volcanoes. We are exploring factors such as fertile soil, geothermal energy, and cultural significance, gaining insights into the complex relationship between humans and volcanic environments.
